What is the Greenward™ Ridge Vent?

The Greenward™ Ridge Vent is a proprietary design, manufactured for traditional attic ventilation and to maximize and utilize existing ambient heat in your attic to heat incoming water into your hot water tank. 

How it Works—The Greenward™ Ridge Vent System

Generally, the hot water heater is the second largest consumer of energy in your home. The Greenward™ Ridge Vent can help reduce your household energy consumption and save you money.

• The Greenward™ Ridge Vent System is installed like any other Ridge Vent on the market and can be installed in new construction or retro fit for existing homes.
• Our unique ridge vent features a flexible tubing throughout the Ridge Vent.
• The flexible tubing carries a water/glycol mix throughout the ridge vent that is heated by solar energy hitting the ridge and escaping hot air from the attic.
• The hot water/glycol mixture is pumped through a heat exchanger which heats incoming 50 degree water to 120 degrees and is stored in an insulated hot water storage tank.
• The stored hot water is transferred to your hot water tank and ready for use.
